AlukarD is a five piece band from Miami, FL who has coined the name "305 Rock" as their brand of music. 305 is the area code for Miami so 305 Rock is Alternative Rock influenced by South Florida culture. Miami is a mecca of international artists and influences fleeting from the West Coast, down to the tip of South America and back up to the neighbors of the North East. It's a huge melting pot of ideals, roots and history. AlukarD embodies the Miami culture in their music and their 305 Rock sound consists of everything from Classic New York Punk, to East Coast Hip Hop, to California Stoner Rock, to South American Metal, and everything in between. AlukarD even uses synthesizers in their music to create an Electro/Miami Bass effect. 305 Rock is music that captures the idea of the Americas as a whole instead of separate cultural entities and this idea can also be identified in AlukarD's lyrics.

Above all, the reason why AlukarD created 305 Rock is because they feel that South Florida deserves more recognition in the music industry. Miami is one of the most popular places in the world, yet the city has nothing to show for itself other than a mirrored image of what has already been established in commercial music. There's more to Miami than partying on South Beach and AlukarD is part of an indie movement in Miami determined to put their city on the map for music and music lovers alike.

AlukarD has achieved some success including a national sponsorship with Jagermeister, several East Coast tours, opening for a variety of artists such as Canibus, Jeru The Damaja, The Ataris, Pepper, Pennywise and more. Still they know that they have a long way to go before their unique sound that is 305 Rock is recognized nation wide. "Everybody claims to be the next big thing that will save music, then they end up being part of the swarm of cliche songs or anti-establishment anthems," says Level the lead singer of AlukarD. "In this age, you make noise doing what everyone has done, or complaining about how it gets done. We felt that these extremes complicated music, so we chose not to see black or white because the noise gets in the way of the sound. We're not here to save music, in actuality, we want music to save us."
