It is a personal preference, so I would recommend going to the cellphone store and trying out each phone to see what will suit your needs. I have a Blackberry Tour because I do a lot of typing and it has keys instead of iPhone's virtual keypad. I want to be able to feel which key I am pressing while typing. Plus another reason why I didn't get an iPhone is because I have a Verizon contract which has always offered great service and they do not carry iPhones.

lol, better than used car salesmen though Actually a lot of new phones have come out that are trying to compete with other PDAs, you may check them out. I think there are too many different types of phones on the market. I am sure the cell phone bubble will pop soon.

i hope so, gone are the days of ' yes sir, we have 2 models of phone for you to purchase today, the black one or the white one'. life was easier then and my head did not hurt so much. it seems they make it hard for you to spend your money, oh and why is it that 'salesmen' always make me feel like i have been robbed/mugged or worse.

I went with the iPhone this week. Reasons? Well first I saw my friends using theirs and it was really cool but mainly to combine 3 devices into one. It has all my iPod content plus does voice playing now and eliminates the need for a separate GPS device too. I had to carry this little hand-held one I have for hiking in the car all the time.

Pros: All the apps including good useful free ones. Mobile Me, a way to backup/sync the most important stuff, track the phone if lost or stolen, and wipe it clean if stolen.

Cons: AT&T charges $10 a month for the GPS to be voice guided and other GPS related stuff. I think its overpriced!

SIM card... I switched from T-Mobile and they just copied my sim card into the new phone. There is a way to import your Outlook contacts too, but I couldn't figure it out and just retyped them.

Yeah I agree, GPS is overpriced. It should be a government funded program since if everyone has GPS, people would be more efficient in getting things done by avoiding traffic (real time traffic reporting) and business deliveries would be quicker.

Have you seen the BlackBerry garage door opener app? I will buy it when it comes out. I like to have a backup remote in case my garage door remote stops working.

Now THAT I want... that would be soooo sweet... especially if I could get it sync'd with voice activation of some sort....

that would be just a little slice of awesomeness
